Roofer

About the Role We seeking an experienced Solar Roofer to join our growing installation team. We install high-quality domestic solar PV systems throughout Leinster and are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, works safely, and enjoys being part of a professional team. This is a hands-on role working on slate and tile roofs, installing roof mounting systems and preparing roofs for our electrical team. Responsibilities

• Install solar PV roof mounting systems on slate and tile roofs.
• Remove and reinstate roof coverings to a high standard.
• Work from installation drawings and roof layouts.
• Measure, mark out and accurately position mounting systems.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety procedures.

Safely use power tools and hand tools.

• Carry out work at height using ladders, scaffolding and fall protection

equipment.

• Identify and report any roof defects or installation issues.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Represent the company professionally on customers’ properties.
• Work closely with electricians and the wider installation team.
• Travel to sites throughout Leinster

Requirements

• Previous roofing experience is essential.
• Experience working on slate and tile roofs.
• Experience installing solar PV systems is desirable, but training can be

provided.

• Good understanding of roof construction and weatherproofing.
• Ability to read drawings and installation plans.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Competent using hand and power tools.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Ability to work as part of a team while also using your own initiative.
