About the role

We’re a premium stone fabricator in Singapore. We supply, fabricate and install natural stone, quartz and sintered stone countertops for projects across Singapore. We’re looking for a business development manager to get our materials specified by architects and designers, and to build long-term relationships with them.

You’ll work at the start of a project, when materials are chosen. If you enjoy relationship-led selling, this role turns good relationships into real projects.

What you’ll do

  • Build and manage relationships with architects, developers and main con.
  • Present our stone ranges and help design teams choose the right material for each project.
  • Get our materials written into drawings, finish schedules and specifications.
  • Provide samples, technical data, finishes, sizes, lead times and care advice, and bring in our fabrication team for technical questions.
  • Organise presentations, lunch-and-learns, sample visits and site or factory tours.
  • Follow each specified project through developers, builders and renovators until it becomes an order.
  • Keep clear records of firms, projects, stages and specifications in our CRM or tracker.
  • Report on market trends, competitor materials and what architects are asking for.
  • Preferably individual who knows how to read a plan and elevation drawings / tender drawings.

What we’re looking for

  • 2–5 years in business development or sales in building materials, interior design, construction or architecture.
  • Good contacts with architecture or developers in Singapore. This is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of stone, quartz, granite or sintered stone is an advantage, but we’ll teach the right person.
  • Confident presenting to architects and designers, with strong written and spoken English.
  • Patient and persistent. Specification projects take months, and you’ll enjoy that long game.
  • Organised, with good follow-up habits.
  • Willing to travel locally to meetings and sites.

What we offer

  • Bonus and incentive.
  • Benefits such as annual leave, medical, training, wellness program etc.
  • The chance to represent a premium product with a team that cares about quality.
