Design Engineer (m/f)

Daily tasks

• Acting as an engineering liaison between product development teams and production teams
• Supporting daily engineering design issues at the plant and escalating systemic issues to the design organization
• Creating and maintaining product documentation, including CAD models, drawings, PLM data, releases, and engineering changes
• Coordinating and supporting the introduction of new products and engineering changes
• Supporting manufacturing engineers, technicians, and support staff in developing and testing prototypes
• Supporting manufacturing process engineers in developing test procedures, fixtures, and production documentation
• Evaluating and assisting in resolving engineering-related production issues
• Interpreting engineering drawings and facilitating corrections identified during production operations

Requirements

Higher education in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering Experience using 3D and 2D CAD tools (NX preferred; SolidWorks or Inventor) Experience in prototyping and testing Experience in designing electromechanical products for industrial applications Experience in the connector industry Experience working with SAP or other MRP systems Fluency in English Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as crimping, soldering, and testing Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel Knowledge of mechanical design for injection molded, metal stamped, machined, and cast components Basic electrical knowledge and experience in testing electromechanical products

Must have: CAD, NX, SolidWorks, SAP, MS Office
