Job Description

Join our team as a Rooms and Residences Controller at Susurros del Corazón, Punta de Mita, Mexico, reporting to the Front Office Manager. You will be responsible for elevating the Susurros del Corazón brand experience in both the hotel and residential settings, ensuring that rooms and residences are correctly balanced, assigned, and prepared according to the preferences, benefits, and needs of each guest and owner. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory control and ensuring that all notes, comments, preferences, and special requirements of owners, guests, and their visitors are correctly recorded and updated in our system.

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that must be done! Within the Auberge family, our talent always finds new ways to care for the business, its guests, and its team members. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

• Perform reservations in the system for residence owners and their friends and family
• Assign all residences as soon as they are reserved to avoid overselling
• The rooms controller must have a deep knowledge of the property layout, residence distribution, and lock-off and connecting room options.
• Review inventory daily and balance the house by granting upgrades to guests with this benefit
• Assign hotel rooms daily taking into account guest preferences
• Assist by looking for options to move rooms in case of complaints if necessary
• Review out-of-order rooms and residences
• Assign showroom in conjunction with housekeeping, including residences
• Be in constant communication with the reservations department to approve requests for connecting rooms.
• Look for upsell opportunities and coordinate with guest services and housekeeping to have them ready
• Detect overselling situations and look for alternatives to resolve them

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in luxury resorts with a residential component
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Good organization and systems management
• Communication skills
