About the company

Join AUBADE, an iconic company in the fashion and lingerie sector, located in the heart of Paris. Since its beginnings in 1875, AUBADE has established itself as a pioneer with a bold and glamorous approach to lingerie, transforming every piece into a true weapon of seduction. We are proud of our commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and social responsibility. Today, we are looking for a passionate and committed Management Controller - CA & BI Support (M/F) to join our dynamic team. By working at AUBADE, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our innovative vision while developing your skills in an environment that values boldness and dedication. If you share our values and wish to grow within a company that celebrates creativity and style, we would be delighted to welcome you among us.

Your tasks

Reporting to the Management Control Manager, you act as a true Business partner with all operational managers. Your main missions are:

Strengthen Aubade's performance management, capable of acting as a true Business Partner to the CFO and operational departments. The position is not limited to producing reports: it transforms data into analyses, recommendations, scenarios, and decisions, with a high level of autonomy.

FP&A, Forecasting & Landing

  • Build and update monthly and annual Last Estimates / landings based on actuals, the order book, history, trends, and operational information.
  • Develop Base / Upside / Downside scenarios, quantify risks and opportunities, and formulate Finance recommendations.
  • Challenge business assumptions and anticipate variances before closing, rather than only explaining them after the fact.
  • Actively participate in Budget, RFC, and SBP processes, as well as the monthly/quarterly phasing of objectives.

Management reporting & financial storytelling

  • Prepare and challenge Weekly, SLT/GLT, monthly reporting, MIS, and Board materials.
  • Build bridges vs N-1, Budget, and RFC and clearly explain the drivers: volume, price, mix, phasing, orders, replenishment, cancellations, costs, and commercial actions.
  • Ensure consistency of comments from one reporting cycle to the next and the precision of financial vocabulary.
  • Produce comments that are directly actionable by General Management and the CFO.

Business partnering & performance

  • Be a partner to the Wholesale, Retail, E-commerce, Operations, and support function teams; understand their business levers and challenge their performance.
  • Define relevant KPIs, analyze variances, and translate operational action plans into financial impacts.
  • Build business cases, sensitivity analyses, and recommendations for commercial decisions, investments, and transformation projects.
  • Support international topics and business model changes, particularly USA and Canada, according to CFO priorities.

Profitability, margin, cash & cross-functional topics

  • Gradually develop gross margin and COGS analyses: price, product, mix, materials, transport/freight, customs duties, and other operational effects.
  • Contribute to analyses of inventory, working capital, and free cash flow and prepare the associated financial comments.
  • Identify the root causes of performance variances and propose quantified action plans.
  • Data, BI & process improvement
  • Control the consistency and reliability of data used in reports; participate in reconciliations between BI, SAP, and official reporting.
  • Define functional reporting needs and work with IT/Data.
  • Simplify and automate Finance processes to reduce manual reprocessing and formatting work.
  • The role is not a BI developer position: the controller must primarily understand the data, challenge it, and transform it into decisions.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in Management Control, FP&A, or Business Controlling; experience in management reporting / Executive Committee / Board is highly appreciated.
  • Ideally acquired experience in Retail, Fashion, Luxury, FMCG, or a consumer / omnichannel environment with seasonality and multiple distribution channels.
  • Master's degree (Bac+5): Business School, Master in Finance / Management Control / Management, MIAGE, or equivalent.
  • Very good command of Excel and PowerPoint; practice with an ERP (SAP appreciated) and a BI tool. Cognos / Power BI is a plus.
  • Fluent / professional English
