Commercial finance Manager

Your tasks

We are looking for a commercially minded Commercial Finance Manager to work closely with senior stakeholders, providing financial insight and support to help drive business performance and inform strategic decision making.

This is a varied role where you will turn financial and operational data into meaningful insight, helping the business understand performance, identify opportunities and make well-informed commercial decisions.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across Finance and the wider business, you will support budgeting and forecasting, provide robust financial analysis and offer constructive challenge to improve financial performance, strengthen accountability and support continued growth.

• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, providing practical financial advice and acting as a trusted partner.
• Translate financial results, risks and opportunities into clear, meaningful insight for non-finance colleagues.
• Help business leaders understand performance drivers and make informed, commercially sound decisions.
• Work closely with Finance colleagues to ensure consistency in reporting, analysis and business priorities.
• Develop and deliver financial modelling, including investment appraisals, pricing analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
• Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement and potential risks.
• Prepare and interpret management information, highlighting variances against budget, emerging issues and areas requiring attention.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting cycle, ensuring financial plans reflect business activity and objectives.
• Challenge performance constructively, identifying opportunities to improve cost control, revenue growth and profitability.
• Assess the financial implications of business decisions, including workforce planning, procurement and service development.
• Monitor the financial impact of key initiatives and support continuous improvement through evidence-based analysis.
• Support month-end reporting and help maintain accurate, reliable financial information.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, data quality and financial systems.
• Provide ad hoc analysis, scenario planning and financial support for strategic projects.

We are looking for a confident and commercially aware finance professional who enjoys working with people as much as working with numbers. You will be comfortable challenging assumptions, building relationships across different areas of the business and turning financial information into practical recommendations that make a difference.
