Business Development Associate, Bratislava

About the role Help grow athme in Bratislava by connecting people through sports and bringing local communities onto the platform. We already have a small but active community of over 200 users around volleyball and football in Bratislava. Your role is to build on that foundation: support existing activities, connect with more organizers, and help grow the range of sports people can join. You will be athme’s local representative, working with sports organizers, student communities, clubs, companies, and players. You will work closely with our team in Denmark, with a proven playbook, clear weekly priorities, outreach materials, and regular support. The role starts with a one-month unpaid internship and can develop into a paid student assistant position based on performance and mutual fit.

What you will do Build relationships with sports organizers, clubs, student organizations, universities, and companies in Bratislava

Support our existing volleyball and football community, helping players return regularly and bring friends

Help new hosts and organizers bring their events and communities onto athme

Work with local partners to create recurring activities and grow participation

Identify opportunities to introduce new sports and reach new communities

Represent athme at campuses, sports venues, events, and community meetups

Follow our business development playbook and adapt it to the local market

Share feedback from players and organizers to improve the platform and local experience

Players returning, bringing friends, and trying more sports

New organizers and communities joining athme

Local partnerships that consistently bring people into events

Who we are looking for You do not need previous business development or startup experience. We care more about your energy, reliability, communication skills, and willingness to learn. You could be a strong fit if: You are a student living in Bratislava

You enjoy sports, meeting people, and building relationships

You feel comfortable approaching organizers and starting conversations

You are proactive, organized, and follow through on what you start

You can take ownership and ask for support when needed

You are curious about business, startups, and community building

You have participated in sports teams, student organizations, volunteering, or events

You will have real responsibility, with clear direction and support.

Internship structure and paid opportunity The position begins with a one-month unpaid internship , giving both sides time to test the collaboration through practical work. You will gain hands-on experience in partnerships, community growth, business development, and marketplace operations. If you demonstrate reliability, initiative, and measurable progress, and the collaboration is a strong mutual fit, the role can continue as a paid student assistant position. We will review progress together at the end of the month and discuss the next step.
