About the company

Astro Education is recruiting a Key Stage 4 SEN Teacher to support students with complex Special Educational Needs within a specialist education setting in Stoke-on-Trent.

Your tasks

• Teach and support KS4 students with complex SEN needs.
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Support students with Autism, ASC, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties.
• Work alongside Teaching Assistants and specialist support staff.
• Support students' academic, social and emotional development.

Requirements

We are looking for a passionate, adaptable and confident teacher who can deliver engaging lessons while supporting students with a range of additional learning, behavioural and emotional needs.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
• Previous experience working with SEN students.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Understanding of EHCPs and individual learning needs.
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
