Your tasks

Are you a passionate Design & Technology Teacher looking for your next opportunity?

The role will involve teaching Design & Technology across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with responsibility for lesson planning, preparation, assessment and marking. For the right candidate, there may also be an opportunity for the position to lead to a permanent role.

• Teach Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that meet the needs of students with a range of abilities.
• Prepare learning resources and practical activities that develop students' creativity, technical skills and subject knowledge.
• Complete planning, assessment and marking in line with school expectations.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour through effective classroom management and clear expectations.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Contribute positively to the wider department and school community.

Requirements

Suitable for: Experienced Teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs)

We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and ECTs who have classroom experience and can demonstrate strong behaviour management, secure subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Design & Technology.

The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a teacher who can bring enthusiasm, professionalism and confidence to the classroom.

The successful candidate will have

• Experience teaching in a secondary school classroom, including ECT placements or previous teaching experience.
• Strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology and the ability to deliver the KS3 and KS4 curriculum effectively.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the confidence to establish clear boundaries.
• The ability to plan engaging lessons and assess students' work effectively.
• High expectations of student behaviour, effort and achievement.
• A positive, adaptable approach and a genuine commitment to helping young people succeed.
