Work Package Manager (M/F)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As part of the development of new industrial capacities with high stakes, we are looking for an experienced profile capable of managing the complete design of several production units. Your main responsibility will be to define the general architecture of future factories, structure technical requirements, and manage the project management team (maîtrise d'œuvre) in charge of their detailed design. You will intervene across the entire industrial scope: processes, equipped workshops, flows, buildings, infrastructure, utilities, equipment, automation, and industrial information systems. Your main responsibilities:

• Define the functional and physical architecture of future factories based on existing installations and reference data.
• Organize workshops, production areas, flows, and associated infrastructure.
• Translate industrial needs into technical requirements exploitable by project management teams, design offices, and equipment manufacturers.
• Guarantee the consistency of interfaces between processes, equipment, buildings, utilities, automation, and digital tools.
• Write the specifications and technical requirements necessary for consulting partners.
• Frame, coordinate, and challenge the studies produced by the project management team.
• Organize design reviews, identify inconsistencies, and propose necessary technical trade-offs.
• Manage functional analyses, requirements management, and their breakdown at the factory, workshop, line, and equipment levels.
• Supervise flow studies, operating scenarios, and the management of interfaces between different systems.
• Manage the production of digital models, layout reviews, constructability, and change management.
• Guarantee consistency between plans, models, specifications, and technical data.
• Define needs related to industrial tools: maintenance management, production management, enterprise software, supervision, and automation.
• Follow the design through to the testing, qualification, commissioning, and ramp-up phases.

The position is intended for a profile with a global vision of industrial design, capable of deeply understanding technical choices, challenging design offices, and guaranteeing the consistency of a complete factory.

REQUIRED PROFILE:

You have a higher education background in industrial engineering, process engineering, mechanics, industrial civil engineering, systems engineering, or equivalent. You have proven experience in the global design of factories, production lines, or complex industrial installations. Your career has allowed you to intervene in several of the following areas:

• industrial architecture and workshop design;
• systems engineering applied to installations;
• technical management of a project management team or design offices;
• writing specifications and requirements management;
• functional analyses, layout and flow studies;
• coordination of multiple technical disciplines;
• integration of processes, equipment, buildings, and utilities;
• digital modeling and 3D model management;
• verification, validation, qualification, and commissioning.

Experience in an environment subject to high safety constraints is essential. Knowledge of pyrotechnics, defense, hazardous chemistry, energetic materials, or sensitive processes will be particularly appreciated. You are capable of transforming an industrial need into a coherent technical architecture, managing interfaces between different work packages, and challenging the choices proposed by the project management team. You know how to anticipate operational, safety, maintenance, and industrialization constraints, formalize verifiable requirements, and propose reasoned technical trade-offs. You master design and coordination tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, CATIA, Navisworks, or equivalents. You also know functional analysis methods, requirements management, flow analysis, process simulation, configuration management, and lifecycle management, notably under Teamcenter or equivalent. Autonomous, rigorous, and pragmatic, you are capable of structuring your approach in an environment that is still under construction. Priority is given to your expertise in design and your ability to technically manage the project management of a complete factory. Excellent command of English is essential. Regular travel within Europe is to be expected.
