RESPONSIBILITIES:
About the context
You will operate within an R&D/engineering environment oriented towards computation, working on dynamic issues related to fluid-structure interaction. The challenge is to secure flight/usage behaviors through the analysis of loads, flutter, and associated unsteady phenomena. You will work at the interface with computation, dynamics, structures, and numerical methods teams, with a high requirement for rigor and traceability. Expected deliverables: calculation notes, models/datasets, processing scripts, analysis reports, and technical recommendations.
Main missions
- Analyze aeroelasticity issues: fluid-structure interaction, stability, dynamic responses.
- Perform load calculations and associated studies (modeling, hypotheses, justification).
- Contribute to flutter analyses: setup, execution, interpretation, synthesis.
- Develop/maintain calculation and post-processing scripts (automation, verifications, traceability).
- Implement matrix approaches (modes, couplings, dynamic systems) and validate results.
- Exploit and cross-reference data from calculations/tests/simulations to consolidate conclusions.
- Write technical deliverables: notes, reports, presentations, justification files.
- Interact with technical teams to define requirements, challenge hypotheses, and propose solutions.
- Ensure clear communication regarding the mastered scope, limits, and technical risks.
SEARCHED PROFILE:
Searched profile
- Engineering degree or Master's (mechanics, aeronautics, applied mathematics, dynamics/structures).
- Confirmed experience (≈ 3 years) or a highly relevant thesis/apprenticeship in aeroelasticity / FSI.
- Solid theoretical foundations: structural dynamics, aero/hydrodynamics, stability, vibrations.
- Proficiency with equations, linear algebra, and matrix calculation.
- Ability to code for calculation and analysis (Python, MATLAB or equivalent).
- Autonomy, adaptability, transparency regarding skills, and a desire to learn.
- Operational English (written/oral) in a technical context.
- Desirable: experience in fluid-structure coupling, flutter, dynamic loads, numerical methods/validation.
- Desirable: industrial environments with high requirements (quality, traceability, confidentiality/regulated access depending on projects).
