Process Project Manager (M/F)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

About the context - Capacity increase project for a metallurgy/steelmaking site, on a strip processing line (furnace, rolling mill, and associated equipment).

• EPC environment with an international supplier and strong interfaces between process, mechanical, E&A/control-command, construction site, and operations.
• Challenges: securing process technical choices, guaranteeing global integration, supporting testing, and achieving expected industrial performance.
• Expected deliverables: process files and specifications, balances/operating parameters, supplier clarifications, testing documents, acceptance criteria, performance reports.

Main missions - Lead the process work package of the project: engineering, technical choices, interfaces, and performance achievement.

• Define/validate process requirements: parameters, capacities, operating constraints, and performance criteria.
• Analyze and challenge supplier proposals: balances, assumptions, sizing, and operating procedures.
• Coordinate process interfaces with mechanical (equipment), E&A/automation (control-command), civil engineering, and operations.
• Monitor process studies: document reviews, open points, deviation management, action plans.
• Contribute to construction site preparation from a process perspective: sequences, prerequisites, testing conditions, necessary instrumentation.
• Support installation and testing: pre-commissioning/commissioning, adjustments, parameter optimization.
• Define and lead the performance validation plan: ramp-up tests, acceptance criteria, analysis of results.
• Ensure reporting on progress, risks, and technical decisions to the work package manager.
• Capitalize: RETEX, updating standards/parameters, transfer to production and maintenance.

REQUIRED PROFILE:

• Indispensable
• Master's degree (or equivalent) in process engineering / metallurgy / industrial process.
• +10 years of experience in managing process projects in industry.
• Experience with equipment such as strip lines / rolling mills / industrial furnaces / metallurgical equipment.
• Professional English (technical exchanges, meetings, documentation).

• Desirable
• Experience in steelmaking (continuous processes, high-constraint environments).
• Practice of EPC projects with international suppliers.
• Experience in testing, performance achievement, and industrial validation (ramp-up, acceptance criteria).
• Strong ability to challenge technically and manage multi-disciplinary interfaces (process/mechanical/EIA/operations).
• Field culture (interaction between construction site and production) and a results-oriented approach.
