Onboard Supervisor - Shipyard Coordination (M/F)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position: As part of the development of our activities in the naval sector, we are looking for an Onboard Supervisor (M/F) to work on maintenance, repair, and technical shutdown projects for ships in Marseille. As the true conductor of onboard operations, you will ensure the coordination of all stakeholders mobilized on the vessel during its time in the shipyard. Your role is to guarantee the proper organization of work, the flow of information between different trades, and compliance with the schedule, while integrating the technical, operational, and safety constraints specific to the naval environment. Your missions: In this capacity, you will notably be required to:

• Coordinate the various interventions carried out onboard the vessel.
• Organize the activities of technical teams and subcontractors.
• Ensure the interface between different trades: mechanics, piping, boilermaking, electricity, painting, lifting, scaffolding, etc.
• Manage co-activity issues and the interfaces between different operations.
• Monitor the progress of work and compliance with the schedule on a daily basis.
• Identify potential blocking points and coordinate their resolution.
• Work closely with QHSE teams to guarantee compliance with safety requirements.
• Participate in and/or lead coordination meetings.
• Ensure reporting to project managers.
• Be in contact with crews and the various international interlocutors present onboard.
• Participate in the smooth running of technical shutdowns and dry dockings.

REQUIRED PROFILE:

Above all, we are looking for a profile with significant initial experience in the maritime or naval sector, ideally on merchant navy vessels. You may notably come from:

• the Merchant Navy: engineer officer, engine officer, multi-skilled officer, etc.;
• a ship repair or naval maintenance shipyard;
• a shipowner;
• a role in work coordination, maintenance, or supervision in the naval sector.

An experience of approximately 3 to 6 years is particularly suited to the position. You have a good general understanding of how a ship operates and are comfortable in a highly operational and field-oriented environment. Initial experience in team coordination, work monitoring, or subcontractor management will be a real asset. Skills sought: - Knowledge of the naval and/or merchant navy environment.
