A leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Consultant Family Medicine with a recognized Western Board certification to join its multidisciplinary medical team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive primary and continuing care to patients across different age groups, with a strong focus on preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and evidence-based family healthcare.

Key responsibilities

Provide comprehensive family medicine consultations and ongoing patient care.

Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.

Provide preventive healthcare, health screening, and lifestyle counselling.

Manage patients with common chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and respiratory disorders.

Coordinate referrals to specialists and ensure continuity of care.

Perform appropriate clinical procedures within the scope of training and privileges.

Maintain accurate and timely medical records.

Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and care planning.

Support clinical quality, patient safety, and evidence-based practice initiatives.

Provide health education and counselling to patients and families.

Participate in continuing medical education and professional development activities.

Requirements

Qualifications

Medical degree from an accredited institution.

Recognized postgraduate qualification in Family Medicine.

Western Board certification in Family Medicine or an equivalent recognized qualification.

Eligibility for or a valid DOH Abu Dhabi Consultant licence.

Relevant clinical experience appropriate for Consultant-level practice.

Current Good Standing Certificate and verifiable professional credentials.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
