IT Infrastructure and Data Center Technician (M/F)

Location: hybrid work in the office in Warsaw Salary: B2B: 900-1100 net + VAT per day

We are looking for a Data Center Technician responsible for the physical installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of IT infrastructure in a Data Center environment. The person in this position will support activities related to hardware management, cabling, inventory, and implementing changes in the data center infrastructure, ensuring compliance with applicable procedures and operational standards.

Daily tasks

• Installation, configuration, and decommissioning of servers, network devices, and data center equipment.
• Performing "Rack & Stack" type work, including mounting equipment in rack cabinets and connecting power and network cabling.
• Maintaining, labeling, and verifying cabling infrastructure in accordance with applicable standards.
• Maintaining IT equipment records, performing inventory audits, and updating technical documentation.
• Diagnosing basic hardware faults, replacing damaged components, and supporting the RMA process.
• Collaborating on rack capacity planning and supervising work performed by subcontractors.
• Preparing and implementing changes in the data center infrastructure in accordance with change management procedures.
• Maintaining order in the IT equipment warehouse and handling logistics processes related to deliveries and the device lifecycle.

Requirements

Requirements Higher education, minimum bachelor's or engineering degree. Minimum 3 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in a similar position. English language proficiency at a minimum B2 level. Practical experience in installing servers and network devices. Knowledge of data center infrastructure, rack cabinets, PDU strips, cabling standards, and labeling. Basic knowledge of computer networks (LAN, switches, patching). Experience working with asset management and equipment inventory systems. Knowledge of data center procedures and change management. Ability to create technical documentation and reports. Category B driving license.

Additional requirements: Ability to manually carry heavier IT equipment. Readiness to work in a data center environment. Accuracy, good work organization, and the ability to work in a team while being independent in task execution.
