SAP PP/MM Business Analyst
Manufacturing & Supply Chain London (4 days per week in the office) | Permanent | £70,000 to £90,000 + bonus
The opportunity:
Our client is a global process manufacturer with plants worldwide. They run SAP ECC today and are converting to S/4HANA (brownfield). Discovery completes at the end of 2026, with go-live planned for late 2027.
You will be the main IT partner to plant operations and supply chain. You will support ECC day to day while helping design, test and deploy S/4HANA, so you will see the programme through from design to cutover and hypercare.
This is a requirements role, not a configuration role. You will gather and document what the business needs, then hand it to the managed service provider (MSP) and system integrator to build, and hold them to it.
What you will do:
Act as the primary IT contact for manufacturing plants and supply chain teams, building strong relationships with plant leadership. Turn operational priorities (throughput, service, quality, safety, cost, uptime) into clear IT demand and roadmaps. Map current and future-state processes; write functional requirements, process flows and acceptance criteria. Give clear direction to onshore, offshore and MSP teams, and hold them to agreed SLAs. Lead on the functional side across: Production Planning and MRP (SAP PP) Procurement and supplier processes (SAP MM) Quality Management (SAP QM) Plant Maintenance and asset management (SAP PM) MES, EHS and shop-floor integration Work with Finance, Sales and Logistics on end-to-end process impacts. Support S/4HANA process harmonisation, UAT, cutover and hypercare for plant-facing capabilities.
What you will bring:
SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA experience in a manufacturing and supply chain setting. Strength in Planning (PP/MRP) and Procurement (MM); these are the core of the role. A manufacturing background; process manufacturing is preferred, but discrete is welcome. Involvement in multiple end-to-end SAP projects. Experience working with global, onshore/offshore and MSP teams. The ability to turn business processes into clear technical deliverables and to influence without authority. A personable, straightforward style; plant teams and delivery partners need to trust what you tell them. A degree in IT, Business or a related field, OR equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have: S/4HANA project experience, QM, PM, MES or OT/shop-floor exposure.
The detail:
Permanent role based in London, 4 days per week in the office. Occasional travel to sites, mainly Europe and the US; expected Q4 2026 and mid-2027 (UAT). Basic salary of £70,000 to £90,000, depending on experience + 12% bonus + bens (incl. health ins and 26 days holidays)
