About the company

Our client is building out its Group Finance function at its London HQ. The role, titled Group Consolidation Analyst, reports to the Group Consolidation Manager. It’s a qualified position, typically suited to someone 0-3 years post-qualification.

Your tasks

Newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant from audit, ready for your first move into industry? This group reporting role covers consolidation of 20+ entities under IFRS for a global manufacturer, with real exposure to M&A.

_Consolidation and intercompany_

  • Monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation of 20+ entities in multiple currencies under IFRS, on a 10-12 day close
  • Intercompany reconciliations, eliminations and resolving differences with regional finance teams

_Statutory, tax and forecasting_

  • UK statutory accounts, plus support on other Group entities
  • Accounting for the Group’s holding and corporate entities
  • Supporting the Global Tax team and Group forecasting (EBITDA and cash flow)
  • Audit support and input into Board and management reporting

You’ll also get genuine exposure to M&A and Group financing activity, and you’ll be expected to question how things are done and suggest better ways of doing them.

Requirements

What you’ll need

  • ACA qualified (ACCA or CIMA considered), ideally within the last two years
  • Audit experience at a large accountancy firm preferred, including group audits and IFRS clients
  • Hands-on exposure to multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation and intercompany
  • Confidence to challenge and improve processes

Experience auditing manufacturing, industrial, private equity-backed or other asset-heavy groups is a real advantage. A purely financial services audit background is less likely to fit. SAP or OneStream experience would be useful but isn’t essential.

What we offer

A strong bonus, real M&A exposure, and a Group Finance team that’s still being shaped, so there’s room for an ambitious person to grow with it.
