Assistant - Solihull SEN Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Primary School Solihull Full Time | 5 Days Per Week Long-Term Position Competitive Daily Rate Immediate Start Available

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in Solihull. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for someone who is committed to helping pupils achieve both academically and personally.

The Role:

• Provide one-to-one support and small group interventions for pupils with SEND.
• Support children with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and speech and language difficulties.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support plans.
• Adapt learning activities to meet pupils' individual needs and learning styles.
• Encourage independence, confidence and engagement in lessons.
• Promote positive behaviour and support pupils with emotional regulation.
• Assist with academic, social and emotional development throughout the school day.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or SEN Teaching Assistant.
• Experience supporting children within a primary school setting.
• Knowledge of SEND and strategies to support pupils effectively.
• Patient, caring and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
