Are you a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a full-time role in a supportive primary school? We are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Northfield seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils with additional needs and make a lasting impact on their educational journey.

The Role:

• Provide one-to-one support and small group interventions for pupils with SEND.
• Support children with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH needs.
• Adapt classroom activities to meet individual learning requirements.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support plans.
• Encourage participation, independence and positive behaviour.
• Support pupils both academically and socially throughout the school day.
• Build strong, positive relationships to help pupils develop confidence and reach their potential.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working in a primary school or supporting children with SEND.
• A patient, nurturing and positive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of inclusive learning practices.
• Ability to remain calm and resilient when supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
