Lecturer in Construction (Plumbing) Immediate Start | Caerphilly | Part-Time (4 Days per Week)

Are you an experienced Plumbing professional looking to share your industry knowledge with the next generation of tradespeople? Aspire People are recruiting for a Plumbing Tutor / Lecturer in Construction to join a well-established Further Education provider in South Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified plumber or experienced industry professional to inspire learners and help them develop the practical skills required for a successful career in the trade. Previous FE teaching experience and teaching qualifications would be advantageous, however applications are also welcomed from experienced Plumbing professionals interested in moving into education. Candidates with relevant industry qualifications and the willingness to work towards a teaching qualification are encouraged to apply.

The Role

As a Plumbing Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical lessons to learners studying Plumbing and Building Services. The successful candidate will undertake all teaching, learner support, assessment, administration and curriculum-related responsibilities associated with the role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality classroom and workshop-based teaching
  • Planning and preparing learning materials and assessments
  • Monitoring learner progress, attendance and achievement
  • Providing constructive feedback and learner support
  • Maintaining accurate assessment and tracking records
  • Supporting learner progression into employment, apprenticeships or further study
  • Working collaboratively with curriculum teams and industry partners

Requirements

We would particularly like to hear from candidates who have:

  • NVQ Level 3 Plumbing or equivalent qualification
  • Strong industry experience within Plumbing and Heating
  • Experience teaching or training learners (desirable)
  • A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
  • Experience delivering Levels 1, 2 and 3 programmes (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting learners to succeed

Assignment Details

Location: Caerphilly Start Date: Immediate Duration: Minimum 4 weeks Working Pattern: Part-Time, 4 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday) Salary: Competitive, dependent on teaching qualifications and industrial experience
