Learning Support Assistant (Secondary) - Hounslow

Full Time Position | Immediate Start Available Location: Hounslow, West London Salary: £110-£120 per day, dependent on experience We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a well-regarded secondary school in the London Borough of Hounslow. About the Role: You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide targeted support to pupils with a range of additional needs across secondary year groups, helping them to access the curriculum, engage with learning and develop greater independence both inside and outside the classroom. Key Responsibilities: - Provide in-class support to pupils with a range of additional needs on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis - Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement EHCPs and individual support plans - Assist in adapting and differentiating learning materials to meet the needs of individual pupils - Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development alongside their academic progress - Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, parents, staff and the wider school team - Monitor and record pupil progress, feeding back to teachers and the SENCO regularly - Supervise pupils during lessons, breaks and transitions as required - Follow safeguarding, health and safety and school-specific policies at all times About You: - Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant in a secondary school setting - desirable - A warm, patient and nurturing approach with a genuine commitment to supporting young people - Understanding of a range of SEN needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties - Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and pupil needs with confidence and flexibility - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team - Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred but not essential - Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well being of all pupils Who are Aspire People?
