B14 Area Learning Mentor - Primary School B14 Area Full Time | Monday to Friday Competitive Daily Rate Start ASAP

Are you a caring, patient and supportive individual looking to make a real difference in children's lives? We are currently recruiting for a Learning Mentor to join a welcoming primary school in the B14 area. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils who may need additional help with their learning, behaviour, emotional wellbeing and confidence within the classroom environment.

The Role:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils across different year groups.
• Build positive relationships with children, helping them develop confidence and self-esteem.
• Support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Encourage engagement in learning and help pupils overcome barriers to education.
• Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams to ensure pupils make progress.
• Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Act as a positive role model, promoting good behaviour and attendance.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working with children in a school, youth work, mentoring or support role.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Ability to motivate and inspire young people.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
