Role Description
The Business Development Officer (Onsite) will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, partnerships, and institutional relationships that support Aspiralane’s growth. This full-time role, based on-site in Abuja, includes prospecting and engaging schools, organizations, and other stakeholders, presenting Aspiralane’s solutions, and driving customer acquisition and retention. Day-to-day tasks involve conducting market research, analyzing trends, preparing proposals and presentations, managing the sales pipeline, and following up with leads to convert them into active partners or clients. The role also involves collaborating with product, marketing, and customer success teams to refine offerings based on feedback, ensuring a positive and consistent experience for students, institutions, and other partners.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong New Business Development and customer acquisition skills, with experience in prospecting, lead generation, and closing partnerships. Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and familiarity with Finance concepts to assess opportunities, prepare business cases, and support data-driven decision-making. Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities with diverse stakeholders. Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills and a client-focused mindset to ensure partner satisfaction and long-term relationship management. Relevant experience in education, edtech, or related sectors is beneficial, along with knowledge of the African education landscape. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is preferred, with proficiency in productivity tools (e.g., CRM systems, spreadsheets, presentation software). Ability to work on-site in Abuja, manage multiple projects, and meet targets in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
