Applications Engineer – Welding Robots and Cobots 5641

Job Objective: Join the engineering team to develop, install, program, and provide technical support for robotic cells and welding cobots, offering training and technical advisory to clients in Mexico.

Main Responsibilities

• Programming and commissioning of welding robots and cobots.
• Configuration and optimization of MIG, TIG, and, preferably, laser welding parameters.
• Integration of robots with positioners, rotary tables, safety systems, and peripheral equipment.
• Performing welding tests and developing applications for clients.
• Training for operators, supervisors, and maintenance personnel.
• Diagnosis and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and programming failures.
• Support to the commercial area in technical demonstrations and client visits.
• Preparation of technical documentation, manuals, and service reports.
• Availability to travel within the Mexican Republic.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Robotics, Automation, or a related field, with 100% of credits completed.
• Minimum of three years of recent and stable experience in programming and operation of industrial robots or welding cobots.
• Solid knowledge of MIG/MAG welding processes; TIG and laser welding are desirable.
• Experience with brands such as ABB, FANUC, Yaskawa Motoman, KUKA, Universal Robots, Dobot, Han’s Robot, or Elite Robots.
• Knowledge of PLC, industrial sensors, pneumatics, and industrial electricity.
• Interpretation of mechanical and electrical blueprints.
• Intermediate or advanced technical English.
• Valid driver's license.
• Residence in Querétaro, Corregidora.

• Experience in complete robotic cell integration.
• Knowledge of artificial vision.
• Experience in offline programming (RoboDK, RobotStudio, Roboguide, or similar).
• Knowledge of safety standards for industrial robots ISO 10218 and ISO/TS 15066 for cobots.
• Experience in automated welding of carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
