Your tasks

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and reliable Construction Purchaser to oversee the procurement, sourcing, sorting, and management of construction materials, tools, and supplies. The successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining competitive quotes, securing timely delivery of quality materials to active jobsites, and managing stock inventory—including physical sorting and inspection.

Vendor & Supplier Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and establish strong working relationships with reliable suppliers, hardware distributors, and local sub-contractors.

Quotation & Negotiation: Request Purchase Requisitions/RFQ, compare pricing, negotiate favorable credit terms, bulk discounts, and delivery timelines.

Purchase Orders (PO): Issue accurate POs based on approved project requisitions, project plans, and budget limits.

Market Tracking: Keep track of fluctuations in construction material prices to optimize cost control.

Sorting & Inventory Checking: Physically inspect, categorize, and sort incoming construction supplies, hand tools, consumable hardware, and safety gear in the warehouse or main jobsite depot.

Quality & Quantity Verification: Verify delivered shipments against delivery receipts (DR) and purchase orders to ensure proper specifications, correct quantities, and damage-free quality.

Stock Storing & Allocation: Organize sorted inventory in structured storage areas to prevent loss, damage, theft, or site bottlenecks.

Defect Handling: Process claims, returns, and replacements immediately with vendors for substandard or damaged goods.

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements Age Requirement: 30 years old and above (matured, responsible, and capable of managing site logistics, high-value procurement decisions, and vendor relationships).
