WELDER

Responsibilities

• Execute welding, cutting, and fabrication tasks precisely according to job specifications to meet quality standards
• Read and interpret technical drawings and measurements to guide fabrication and repair work
• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on metal structures to ensure structural integrity
• Inspect welding work to ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition to support efficient operations
• Adapt to additional ad-hoc duties as assigned to support team objectives.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints: Understanding designs, specifications, and diagrams to determine the appropriate welding process.
• Operating welding equipment: Utilizing various welding techniques like MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
• Sourcing and preparing materials: Measuring, cutting, and preparing metal pieces for welding.
• Performing welding tasks: Joining metal parts with precision and accuracy.
• Inspecting welds: Ensuring structural integrity and quality.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Demonstrate hands-on welding experience to effectively perform welding tasks
• Ability to perform welding independently to contribute to project completion
• Maintain physical fitness and apply safety practices to perform tasks safely
• Exhibit proactivity and work independently to meet work demands
• Willingness to work overtime as required to fulfill job responsibilities.
