IT Field Engineer

A large and highly successful business is looking for an accomplished IT Field Engineer to join its team based in Stockport. Please note this is an onsite and field based role – you’ll work from the office in Stockport 2 or 3 days per week and spend the rest of your time supporting users at other sites across the country, so a full UK driving licence is mandatory. In order to be suitable for this role, you MUST be an excellent communicator with demonstrable expertise providing a proactive 1 st and 2 nd line user and systems support service in a Windows environment. You will have experience with hardware support for laptops, PCs, switches and printers, along with excellent Office 365, Windows, Azure and Active Directory experience. You will be a natural problem solver with a passion for technology. Key requirements include: Strong background in 2 nd line IT support and infrastructure management

Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Windows client environments

Solid IT hardware experience

Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, and security best practices

Flexibility to travel for work
