Ash Tree Service & Grounds | Houston, TX Job Overview Ash Tree Service & Grounds is looking for a dependable, hardworking Grounds Crew Member to help maintain commercial properties throughout the Houston area. This is a hands-on, outdoor position ideal for someone with weedeating or lawn maintenance experience who takes pride in doing quality work. The crew meets in the Sagemont area of Houston and travels together in a company vehicle to assigned job sites. Reliable transportation to and from the meeting location is required, but you will not need to use your personal vehicle to travel between properties. Job Responsibilities Weedeat around buildings, sidewalks, curbs, landscaping beds, and other areas. Assist with general lawn and grounds maintenance at commercial properties. Operate lawn care equipment and power tools safely. Help keep commercial properties neat, clean, and presentable. Assist with property cleanup and other outdoor maintenance tasks as needed. Work as part of a team to complete assigned jobs efficiently and safely. Route Details & Schedule The assigned route consists of 8 commercial properties : 4 properties in the Pasadena/Deer Park area. 4 properties in the Houston area, including the northside. The position is part-time, with work scheduled approximately 1–2 days per week, depending on weather and the time needed to complete the route. The crew travels together in a company vehicle from the Sagemont meeting location to the assigned properties. Pay & Employment Details Pay: $150–$220 for the complete 8-property route, depending on experience and the agreed-upon rate. Pay Structure: Fixed route compensation, not a separate payment for each day worked. Pay Frequency: Biweekly. Employment Type: Part-time W-2 employee. Schedule: Approximately 1–2 days per week. The route may take one or two days to complete depending on weather and working conditions. The agreed-upon route payment is the total compensation for the route, not an additional payment for each day. Qualifications Previous weedeating experience preferred. Lawn care, landscaping, or groundskeeping experience is a plus. Dependable, punctual, and able to follow directions. Comfortable performing physical labor outdoors in the Texas heat. Able to safely operate lawn care equipment or willing to learn. Reliable transportation to and from the Sagemont meeting location. Positive attitude and ability to work well with a small team.
