Surety Underwriter Germany (m/f/d) (Underwriter (Insurance))

On behalf of our client, as part of our service of mediation-oriented temporary employment, we are looking for a Surety Underwriter (m/f/d) – Germany at the Kerpen location.

Your Tasks

• Independent risk assessment and evaluation in the field of surety insurance (Surety)
• Creation of sound credit risk analyses and decision templates for internal committees
• Presentation and defense of risk assessments before credit committees
• Support of clients and brokers within the framework of risk assumption and management
• Close cooperation with internal teams such as Risk, Legal, and Finance
• Analysis of company key figures and annual financial statements according to HGB/IFRS
• Continuous market monitoring as well as participation in the optimization of underwriting processes

Your Profile

• Completed university degree with a focus on economics, finance, or mathematics
• Ideally professional experience as a Surety Underwriter or credit analyst, alternatively experience in the insurance, tax, or health insurance environment
• Sound knowledge in balance sheet analysis and credit risk assessment
• Very good knowledge of accounting standards (HGB, IFRS)
• Proficient in handling modern IT tools and analytical systems
• Fluent English skills in speaking and writing are mandatory, very good German is desirable
• High degree of personal responsibility, diligence, and communication skills
• Willingness to help shape a modern working environment in transition
