Discipline Support Officer
Key Responsibilities Student Management and Investigation Assist the Discipline Team in fact-finding and investigations relating to student misconduct, bullying, and disciplinary matters. Engage students and relevant stakeholders to gather information and document case findings accurately. Provide pastoral support and guidance to students involved in disciplinary cases. Build positive relationships with students, particularly those who may be at risk, and surface concerns to the relevant school personnel. Support safety plans, follow-up, and monitoring of student well-being where required. Supervision and School Safety Provide an adult presence at identified areas and during key periods such as before school, recess, dismissal, and lesson transitions. Conduct patrols to support positive student behaviour and adherence to school expectations. Respond to incidents involving misconduct, conflict, or other student-management concerns. Support the de-escalation of conflicts and refer students to appropriate school personnel. Monitor students undergoing disciplinary consequences or interventions where required. Identify factors contributing to recurring behavioural issues and recommend preventive measures. Collaboration and Support Work with teachers, school leaders, parents, counsellors, and relevant agencies to support students. Maintain accurate and confidential records and provide timely follow-up on cases. Requirements Strong interpersonal, communication, and student engagement skills. Ability to build rapport with adolescents while maintaining professional boundaries. Good interviewing, fact-finding, analytical, and documentation skills. Ability to manage conflicts, de-escalate challenging situations, and exercise sound judgement. Good organisational and case-management skills. High level of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, resilience, and adaptability. Familiarity with restorative practices or student-support frameworks is an advantage. Qualifications and Experience Minimum GCE N-Level certificate or equivalent. At least 1 year of relevant experience in a school or related environment. Experience in the Singapore Armed Forces, Singapore Police Force, other uniformed services, or schools will be advantageous, particularly in leadership, investigation, training, youth engagement, personnel management, or operational roles. Experience working with youths or in an educational setting is an added advantage.
