Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to join a large-scale public sector digital programme in Singapore. You will work within a multi-disciplinary delivery team building and running mission-critical public-facing systems on Azure.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop server-side application logic
• Build and maintain APIs and microservices
• Perform database design and optimisation
• Implement security and performance controls

What you will bring

• Minimum 5 years in backend microservices; projects of 1,000+ man-days; led a team of at least 5 members
• Java/.NET/Node.js
• REST/GraphQL APIs
• SQL/NoSQL
• Microservices
• Azure
• CI/CD
• Git
• Security best practices

Qualifications & certifications

• Degree/Diploma in CS/IT or related

Work arrangement

• Location: Singapore, on-site at client premises
• Employment type: Contract / Permanent / Full Time
• Working days: Monday to Friday
• The successful candidate must be able to obtain the required government security clearance before starting
• Candidates with existing CAT security clearance will be preferred
