Job Responsibilities

Design, develop, implement, test, debug, validate, and maintain software tools, applications, and platforms supporting portfolio valuation, optimisation, and risk management.
Analyse business and user requirements to deliver efficient software solutions aligned with business objectives and management expectations.
Develop and enhance platforms and graphical user interfaces (GUIs) to provide authorised users with access to quantitative libraries, tools, and analytical results.
Update software performance through code profiling, efficiency improvements, and the modernisation and upgrading of legacy systems.
Establish and continuously improve software testing, validation, deployment, and application lifecycle management processes to ensure reliability, quality, and maintainability.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to integrate software and hardware components where required and deliver solutions that meet technical and business requirements.
Apply market knowledge and commercial understanding to ensure analytical tools and models are fit for purpose and support effective business decision-making.
Manage multiple development priorities and deliver high-quality solutions within tight timelines and predefined deadlines.

Job Requirements

Degree in a Computer Science, Information technology or relative field equivalent.
10+ years’ experience in similar role as software developer.
Strong coding knowledge with demonstrable experience in Python / C++ /C#/HTML/SQL required.
Object-oriented design skills with knowledge of design patterns and object modelling for building business logic, analytics, and data processing applications.
Knowledge of data modelling, database design and management, networking protocols and data structures.
Experience with design, create and maintain databases and applications, including web-based applications. Working knowledge of data visualization techniques a plus.
Strong instincts around performance vs simplicity trade-offs, engineering for maintainability, extensibility and debuggability.
Basic understanding of optimization principles, probability, stochastic calculus, and financial concepts.
Demonstrates innovative and analytical thinking, self-critic, problem-solving capability, intellectual rigor, strong drive, and desire to lead change.
Ability to communicate outputs and analysis in a concise and comprehensible manner.
Fluent English language required for day-to-day business communication; Fluency in Russian language would be important & highly advantageous for operating in internal systems.
