Web Designer - UI/UX

A UK-based software company looking for a creative and technically capable Web & UI/UX Designer based in Egypt to join our team remotely. This is primarily a UI/UX and web design role. We are looking for someone who can take a project from initial ideas and wireframes through to polished Figma designs and, where required, help translate those designs into working websites. Key Responsibilities:

• Design modern, professional and conversion-focused websites.
• Create wireframes, user flows and page structures.
• Produce high-quality website designs and interactive prototypes in Figma.
• Design responsive experiences for desktop, tablet and mobile.
• Create reusable components and design systems in Figma.
• Improve the UI and UX of existing websites and applications.
• Translate client requirements and business objectives into effective designs.
• Design landing pages, corporate websites, dashboards and web applications.
• Build and customise WordPress websites, particularly using Elementor.
• Translate approved Figma designs into WordPress pages.
• Work alongside developers implementing designs in React and Next.js.
• Review implemented websites and identify differences between the approved design and final build.
• Consider usability, accessibility, mobile experience and conversion throughout the design process.

This is a fully remote position for candidates based in Egypt , working with a UK-based software company.

Essential Skills

• Strong UI/UX and web design skills.
• Excellent Figma skills, including Auto Layout, components, variants, prototyping and design systems.
• Strong understanding of typography, spacing, colour and visual hierarchy.
• Responsive and mobile-first design.
• Wireframing and user flows.
• WordPress and Elementor experience.
• Ability to translate Figma designs into working websites.
• HTML and CSS knowledge.

Highly Desirable

• React.js

• JavaScript / TypeScript
• Understanding of component-based front-end development

Candidate Profile

• 2+ years of relevant web/UI design experience.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating real website and UI/UX work.
• Able to show complete Figma projects, not only screenshots.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Able to design for both desktop and mobile.
• Comfortable receiving feedback and revising designs.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Reliable and organised when working remotely.

A portfolio is required. Please include links to Figma projects and live WordPress or React/Next.js websites you have personally worked on.
