to join our Custom Electrics Manufacturing (CEM) business line and become part of a highly skilled team developing and delivering industrial electrification and automation solutions for leading customers in the marine, mining, OEM and renewable energy industries.

About the Role

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with hands-on experience in industrial electric cabinet design and a strong understanding of how design decisions impact manufacturing, testing and overall product performance. In this role, you will be responsible for designing industrial electrification and automation solutions based on customer specifications and technical documentation. Your work will include creating layouts, circuit diagrams and bill of materials, selecting suitable components and supporting production throughout the manufacturing process. You are not only a designer but also a technical expert who actively supports production, solves engineering challenges and ensures manufacturable solutions. The role requires strong technical judgement and the ability to make decisions on electrical engineering matters. You will review customer documentation, identify potential improvements and propose technical solutions that support both customer requirements and efficient manufacturing. As part of new product introduction projects, you will work closely with production, procurement and other stakeholders to ensure successful industrialization and delivery.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Design industrial electric cabinets based on customer requirements and specifications
  • Create bill of materials, layouts and circuit diagrams
  • Review customer documentation before production, particularly for new products
  • Select and standardize components and perform sizing dimension when required
  • Support production with technical expertise and problem-solving
  • Evaluate alternative components and propose improvements to technical documentation
  • Ensure that designs comply with technical requirements and manufacturing needs
  • Participate in new product introduction projects as part of a cross-functional project team
  • Work closely with production, procurement and supply chain professionals to support efficient manufacturing and delivery

What We’re Looking For

We expect you to have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience. You have at least few years of experience in electrical design of industrial electric cabinets, including layout design, circuit diagram design and component selection. You are familiar with commonly used switchboard components, wiring systems, cables and electrical requirements related to industrial applications. You have experience working with ERP systems and electrical design software such as EPLAN or a similar tool. Experience with relevant IEC, UL and marine standards is highly valued. To succeed in this position, you must be fluent in both Finnish and English, written and spoken.
