THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPPORT SERVICES SUPERVISOR, Position Description Number D1592P02 and is part of the PA Deputy Chief of Staff G6, National Guard. 1 or more Position(s) may be hired against this Announcement.
Major duties
As a SUPPORT SERVICES SUPERVISOR, GS-0342-10, you will plan, organize, assign, control and evaluate the work of personnel. Plans program, coordinate, and direct the administrative functions of the installation and/or state. Serve as the organization's principal staff action officer responsible for Activity records management. Serve as the Official Mail Manager/Postal Officer for the installation and/or state. Serve as the installation and/or state Printing and Publications Control Officer, responsible for providing the guidance and clarification necessary to carry out the provisions of the installation and/or state Publishing and Printing Program. Performs other duties as assigned.

APPOINTMENT STATUS: EXCEPTED This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Non-Bargaining Position AOC 1: NG Employees at the Deputy Chief of Staff G6 AOC 2: NG employees in the Deputy Chief of Staff G6 AOC 3: NG Employees of the Pennsylvania National Guard AOC 4: All service members of the Pennsylvania National Guard (This includes M-Day Soldiers, Temporary Technicians and AGR Personnel) AOC 5: Individuals who are currently serving in another branch of service who are willing to become members of the PANG Military Grades: ENLISTED E5-E8 Supervisor for this position is 1SG Miller *NOTE: Accessioning into this position is contingent upon verification of Secret Security Clearance GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training in administrative, professional, technical, or other work that provided knowledge of support services. Knowledge of administrative methods and procedures used in planning, organizing work, and skill in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 30 months experience in dealing with management principles and supervisory responsibility for support service functions required by type of position to be filled and the organization involved. Experience planning and directing a variety of clerical operations. Experience using methods and procedural steps, and working under general instructions to meet the objectives of support services programs. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.
