HR SPECIALIST (MILITARY)-T32
This National Guard position is for a HR SPECIALIST (MILITARY)-T32, Position Description Number D3530000 and is part of the WI JFHQ-G1 Education Services Office, Wisconsin Army National Guard.
Major duties
As a HR SPECIALIST (MILITARY)-T32, GS-0201-9, you will serve as Incentives Specialist reporting to the State Incentives Manager. The incumbent assists in carrying out Army National Guard (ARNG) Select Reserve Incentive Policy (SRIP), Army Medical Detachment Incentives Policy (AMEDD), Student and Chaplain Loan Repayment Program (SLRP, CLRP), and Blended Retirement System-Continuation Pay (BRS-CP), for Officer, Warrant Officer, Enlisted personnel. Indefinite positions are not permanent and have no guarantee to continued employment. Indefinite employees may be subject to separation from employment at any time with a 30 day written notification. If the position becomes permanent, employee may be converted to a permanent appointment without further competition at management's discretion.
Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the GS-0201-09 level, you must have at least 12 months of specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Applicants must have experience providing technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Applicants must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of management. Experience developing administrative procedures.
Requirements
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Military Grades: E-1 through E-7 Conditions of Employment: National Guard Membership is required. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and selecting officials, and Major Subordinate Commands, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
