An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Accounts & Audit Semi-Senior to join a reputable, multi-site accountancy firm in the Benfleet area. As a recognised ACA and ACCA training provider , the firm has a strong track record of supporting people through their qualifications and helping them progress into more senior positions. You will benefit from full study support, practical coaching and guidance from experienced colleagues who take an active interest in your development.
The role
Working with a varied client portfolio, your responsibilities will include: Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. Supporting audit assignments, from planning and fieldwork through to completion. Preparing supporting schedules and working papers. Assisting with corporation tax computations and VAT returns. Liaising with clients to obtain information and resolve queries. Working closely with senior colleagues as you develop your technical skills and take on greater responsibility.
About you You will have experience within accountancy practice and be studying towards AAT/ ACA or ACCA, or looking to begin your professional studies. Previous audit exposure would be welcome, alongside a willingness to learn, good communication skills and a careful, organised approach to your work.
