Your tasks

Your mission Behind every great financial insight is a reliable data model. As a BI Specialist Finance & Data Modeling, you combine finance expertise with modern data modeling capabilities to transform complex business data into clear, trustworthy, and decision-relevant insights. Working closely with Finance, Controlling, IT, and other business functions, you help build the data foundation that enables better business decisions.

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-wide data models for analytical and reporting purposes.
• Develop and maintain data integration and transformation processes using SQL, Power Query, and ETL/ELT tools such as Azure Data Factory.
• Build and optimize dimensional models, fact tables, dimension tables, and semantic layers, ensuring a scalable, high-performing, and sustainable BI architecture.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across multiple data sources, reconciling source systems with reporting environments.
• Collaborate closely with Finance and Controlling teams to translate business requirements into scalable analytics solutions.
• Support business stakeholders in understanding data definitions, calculations, and reporting logic.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience working with relational databases.
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration processes.
• Practical experience with dimensional data modeling and Power Query.
• Good understanding of Finance and/or Controlling processes.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and bridge the gap between business and technology.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Power BI data modeling and report development.
• Knowledge of SAP data structures, particularly within SAP FI/CO.
• Experience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouse platforms.
• Exposure to budgeting, planning, forecasting, or financial consolidation systems.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, industrial, or commercial business environments
