Cloud Operations Engineer

In collaboration with our Product Management and SoftwareDevelopment teams, you will play a pivotal role in steering productdevelopments, offerings, and strategic direction to best serve our customersand prospects. Supported by the expertise of our world class Arista TAC,cutting-edge proof-of-concept resources, and support of the executive team, youare well-positioned to lead and innovate within the industry. What You’ll Do ●     As a critical member of the Arista SystemsEngineering team, you will act as a trusted advisor to provide pre-salestechnical systems engineering support for our customer community in the regionacross multiple vertical segments. ●     Partner with Arista Account Managers tounderstand customer business drivers and pain points, conducting whiteboardnetwork architectural and design reviews as well as product presentations andworkshops for Arista’s open networking solutions—specifically across AICenters, Data Center, Cognitive Campus (including WiFi) networking solutions,CloudVision (Network Automation), Security (Network Detection), EndpointSecurity, and Real-time Fabric Monitoring solutions. ●     Design, architect, propose, deploy, andconfigure Arista and cloud-based solutions for high-performance/high-scale AIbackend and frontend networks (supporting customer development of AI models andtoken generation), as well as highly resilient Data Center networks and Campusnetworks using leaf-spine architectures (VxLAN, EVPN) and network overlays tocapture additional sales. ●     Automate cloud operations, developinfrastructure automation scripts, and participate in the continuousimprovement of cloud solutions to enhance deployment efficiency, operationalexcellence, and network agility. ●     Participate in the specification, setup,execution, and hands-on testing of Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and livedemonstrations for cloud solutions, AI backend networks, Data Center fabrics,and Campus network designs using Arista solutions, technologies, and features. ●     Administer and maintain servers across virtualplatforms to support demonstration environments, test setups, and labinfrastructure. ●     Put together design guidelines and recommendimprovements to customers for the networks they support, especially whereimprovements can be brought to bear with Arista solutions in areas of AIJob-Completion-Time, Loss-less Fabric designs, and scalability to thousands,10s of thousands, and hundreds of thousands of GPUs for distributed AIinference networking fabrics. ●     Partner with the Sales Team to respond toRFP/RFQs. ●     Provide feedback to Product Management andEngineering. ●     Represent Arista at SDN and Open Networkingindustry events and conferences. ●     Keep up-to-date on competitive solutions,products, and services. ●     Author white papers on technology and product. Qualifications ●     BS/CS/CE, Mathematics, or equivalent STEMtechnical degree required. ●     Network Industry certifications desired,including: ○     Arista Cloud Engineer (ACE) level 4 - 7 ○     Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) -Data Center ○     Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) -Routing & Switching ○     Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) ●     You possess a minimum of 10+ years of L2/L3networking design, implementation, multi-cloud, and operational experience witha focus on: ○     Expert-level experience with Leaf-Spine fabricdesign and operations, routing/switching (L2/L3 protocols), and SDN platforms(such as Cisco ACI or open networking fabrics). ○     Hands-on experience designing and operatinghigh-power, high-density AI backend/frontend compute fabrics and Data Centerinfrastructure supporting intensive GPU workloads. ○     Operational experience with high-speed Ethernetfabrics (400G/800G), InfiniBand, and integrating Compute/xPU platforms. ○     Hybrid multi-cloud connectivity architectureincluding AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, and DCI/backbone integration. ○     Hands-on experience with DevOps tools andInfrastructure as Code (Ansible, Python, Terraform) to automate cloudoperations and drive continuous infrastructure improvement. ○     Deep expertise in Cloud Security Governance,Zero Trust AI Fabrics, ZTNA, NGFW, and IT/OT network segregation. ●     Demonstrated work experience as a CloudOperations Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Network Engineer, orPre-Sales SE preferred. ●     Proven track record advising senior executives(CTOs, COOs) on technical architecture, Hyperscaler vs. Enterprise strategicpaths, and SLA/high-availability design. ●     Expert knowledge in core networking protocols:Ethernet, RSTP/MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, eBGP, VxLAN,Multicast, QoS. ●     Strong understanding of the competitortechnology landscape (Cisco, Juniper, Huawei) and multi-vendor migrationstrategies. ●     Proficiency with industry-standard CLI and APItools (e.g., Postman). ●     Experiencewith SDN and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) is highly desired.
