Company/Role Overview We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in automation testing, preferably in the government or local authority sectors. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in test automation, be proficient in Python and Selenium, and added advantage with working experience with Salesforce Admin tools and Salesforce Public Cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automation test scripts for web applications, APIs, backend systems and other relevant testing frameworks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and business analysts, to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on requirements.
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure early detection of defects and maintain high standards of code quality.
  • Identify and document software defects in bug tracking tools such as JIRA and work with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Ensure testing procedures align with government or local authority security standards, regulations, and compliance guidelines (e.g. ISO).
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) to provide input on test progress, challenges, and risks.
  • Utilise tools to perform load and performance testing to ensure the system can handle the expected traffic and usage levels.
  • Track and report quality metrics, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Maintain clear and detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and test scripts for internal and external audits.

Job Requirements

  • Proficient in Python for writing and maintaining test scripts.
  • Strong experience with Selenium and other test automation tools (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, Cypress)
  • Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
  • Experience in performance testing using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Familiar with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, or Bitbucket for integrating automated tests.
  • Experience in working within Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to document defects, results, and collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
  • Confidence working in regulated environments with evolving priorities.
  • Relevant certifications in QA/Software Testing.
  • Experience working with government agencies, understanding of public sector regulations, compliance, and security requirements.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud platforms and their impact on testing processes.
  • Working experience with testing applications built on or integrated with Salesforce Public Cloud and Lightning components (open to upskilling)
