Python Software Developer

Contract Duration: 12 months, with potential for extension Location: Singapore Industry: Financial Services / Banking

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer with strong web application development experience to join a technology team within a leading financial services organisation.

The role will involve developing and enhancing enterprise-grade applications supporting business-critical functions. Experience within Global Markets , particularly front-office trading or risk systems, would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance enterprise-grade applications using Python .
• Build web applications and user interfaces using ReactJS .
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and WebSockets .
• Perform data analysis and processing using NumPy and Pandas .
• Contribute to architecture, system design and technical solutioning .
• Work closely with business, technology and other engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for performance, reliability and maintainability.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience as a Python Developer / Software Engineer .
• Deep knowledge of Python, NumPy and Pandas .
• Strong experience with REST APIs and WebSockets .
• Good hands-on experience with ReactJS / web frontend development .
• Proven experience working on complex, enterprise-grade systems — this is essential.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and system design .
• Financial Services / Banking experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Global Markets , particularly front-office trading and/or risk systems, would be an advantage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
