About the company

ARESIA has been contributing to industrial excellence for civil and defense aeronautics for over 100 years. A group of 850 employees distributed across 12 sites in France. From design to production and maintenance, we provide equipment for all types of aircraft.

The company and the mission A Tier 1 aeronautical subcontractor, certified EN9100, ARESIA designs and manufactures complex electromechanical, pneumatic, and pyrotechnic equipment for major civil and defense programs. Our core business: high-precision CNC machining and the assembly of structural sub-assemblies. In a context of increasing production rates and the integration of new programs, we are strengthening our industrialization team with an INP Project Manager capable of maintaining the common thread between the design office, the workshop, and our customers.

Your tasks

As part of our continuous growth, we are looking for an Industrialization Project Manager to join our Valenton team, coming from the aeronautical, nuclear, or automotive industries.

As a member of the Production team, you will be responsible for:

  • Steering the introduction into production of new products, from the bidding phase to series qualification. As the guarantor of the schedule, costs, and quality of industrial deliverables, you will structure each project according to the APQP (EN9145) approach, from the P1 review to the transition to series production. As a pivot interlocutor between the customer, methods, the workshop, and purchasing, you will anticipate risks, arbitrate priorities, and guarantee that each production start is based on a solid and validated industrial file. Your field: tight-tolerance machined parts, short-deadline prototypes, demanding customers.
  • Steer INP projects according to the APQP / EN9145 approach: facilitating P1 to P5 milestones, managing associated deliverables, and maintaining the open actions register.
  • Develop and maintain the project schedule: development milestones, customer reviews, First Article Inspection (FAI according to EN9102) — zero surprises on key dates.
  • Define and validate manufacturing sequences for machined mechanical components: turning, 3 to 5-axis milling, CNC — in direct link with methods technicians and operators.
  • Steer prototype procurement: expressing needs, sourcing material and special subcontracting (surface treatments, NDT testing), supplier follow-up, and lead time management during the development phase.
  • Coordinate the manufacturing of prototypes and qualification parts: scheduling, workshop follow-up, and managing contingencies before they escalate.
  • Write and validate industrial definition files (DDI, instruction sheets, monitoring plans) — documentary rigor is non-negotiable.
  • Facilitate internal and customer APQP reviews: P1/P2/P3 milestone reviews, DVI, preparation and conduct of FAIs.
  • Manage prototype non-conformities: root cause analysis (8D, Ishikawa), implementation and follow-up of corrective actions until closure.
  • Calculate and monitor cost prices for prototypes and series, contributing to bid estimates with the sales teams.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders— Technical Direction, Methods, Quality, Purchasing, Supply, Production, logistics — with operational leadership, not just hierarchical.
  • Prepare the series transition file and ensure a structured transfer to the series industrialization department.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent training.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in industrialization and/or project management in an aeronautical or defense environment.
  • Operational mastery of process risk analysis and project risk management.
  • Good knowledge of EN9100 and EN9102 (FAI) standards.
  • Solid foundations in CNC machining processes (multiaxis turning/milling, surface treatments): you understand what is happening in the workshop.
  • Tools: CREO, ERP (QAD or equivalent), Orchestra or PPM tool.
  • Operational professional English (international customer and supplier exchanges).
