Now that you have captured a bit more of our essence, shall we talk about the opportunity?

We are looking for a Sr AI Engineer to join a team dedicated exclusively to Artificial Intelligence, focused on following the most recent advances in LLMs and Generative AI and rapidly transforming them into high-impact solutions for Education. You will work alongside other AI Engineers and pedagogical specialists, in an environment of continuous learning, experimentation, and collaboration, developing products that reach millions of students throughout Brazil.

In your daily routine, you will:

Leadership and Business Impact

• Be a technical reference for more junior engineers in the AI Engineering team, disseminating best practices and directing architectural choices for Software Engineering and AI Engineering;
• Proactively identify opportunities for applying Generative AI and Machine Learning that generate real impact on key business indicators;
• Translate business needs into viable technical solutions using LLMs and data.
• Co-create solutions with the Product, Software Engineering, and design teams.

AI and Software Engineering

• Lead the development of solutions with frontier LLMs that interact with millions of users in the Education field;
• Architect and develop advanced AI applications using Vector Databases, multimodal LLMs, Single Agents, Multi-Agent systems;
• Develop and optimize annotation, validation, and quality pipelines for LLM applications, implementing evals, LLM-as-a-judge, evaluation metrics, etc.
• Evolve and optimize the team's development stack (CI/CD, infrastructure for LLMs, governance, and optimization of API/computing costs).

Innovation and Prototyping

• Interact with teachers, students, families, directors, and pedagogical specialists to co-create solutions for the educational field;
• Build and influence the team to build, with speed and adaptability, prototypes for rapid validation of business and technical hypotheses;
• Act as a reference for the team in monitoring new papers, technical blogs, and major global AI conferences to bring trends, new libraries, and AI techniques to the team.

What we expect from you:

• Genuine interest in the theme of Education and human learning;
• Solid experience in Data Science, Machine Learning Engineering, Software Engineering (focused on data), or robust development of LLM-based applications;
• Advanced mastery of Python, Git, and depth in Software Engineering best practices (Clean Code, Unit Tests, Design Patterns);
• Excellent communication skills to translate complex technical concepts to product and business stakeholders;
• Previous experience with technical mentoring of engineering or data professionals;
• Advanced English for reading technical literature, documentation, and scientific articles at the frontier of AI knowledge.

What would be a differentiator?

• Expertise in pedagogical themes;
• Deep experience with LLMs in production and at high scale;
• Deep experience in building systems that require recurrent interaction with domain experts.
