Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed interior design drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans, and construction details.
- Develop shop drawings and construction drawings for interior fit-out works.
- Assist interior designers in translating design concepts into technical and working drawings.
- Coordinate drawings with architects, engineers, consultants, suppliers, and contractors.
- Revise drawings based on design changes, site conditions, and client requirements.
- Conduct site measurements and verify dimensions when required.
- Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, local regulations, and industry standards.
- Maintain proper documentation and version control of all project drawings.
- Assist in material selection presentations, drawing submissions, and project documentation.
- Support project teams in resolving technical and design-related issues during construction.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Drafting, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in interior design drafting or fit-out projects.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with Revit, 3D Max, Lumion, or other visualization software is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of interior construction details, materials, and finishing works.
- Ability to interpret design concepts and produce accurate technical drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in residential, commercial, retail, office, or hospitality interior projects.
- Knowledge of local building codes and authority requirements.
- Experience in preparing joinery and custom furniture shop drawings.
- Understanding of construction methods and interior fit-out processes.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
