About the business

A well established building services engineering business with a broad client base spanning healthcare, education, commercial and public sector projects. Small enough that you will be known by name rather than by payroll number, and well backed enough to have work booked well ahead.

What you will be doing

• Pre-commissioning checks and full commissioning of air and water systems
• Proportional balancing of ductwork and pipework
• Air volume measurement and adjustment across AHUs, VAV, fan coils and extract systems
• Water side flushing, chlorination and flow balancing
• Recording results and producing commissioning documentation and witness records
• Working alongside clients, consultants and site teams, including formal witnessing
• Working to current CIBSE, BSRIA and CSA guidance

What you will need

• Demonstrable commissioning experience on air systems, water systems or both
• Able to carry out proportional balancing unsupervised
• Confident using and caring for test instrumentation
• Able to produce clear, accurate commissioning records
• Full UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK

Helpful, but not essential

• CSA grading, or the site records and evidence to work towards it
• SKILLcard, ECS or CSCS
• Experience in healthcare or other critical environments
• Awareness of BMS interface and controls
• Specialist systems such as smoke control, generators or UPS
