Head of Finance

Lloyds Bank Foundation Salary: £70,958 plus additional benefits including 33 days annual leave, private health insurance and generous pension scheme. Contract: Permanent. Location: London, hybrid – 2 days per week in office.

Lloyds Bank Foundation exists to ensure that everyone in England and Wales is in a good place, and their new strategy sets out plans to build stronger, more resilient communities across the country. LBF have significant ambitions to expand grant programmes and charitable giving, and the finance function will be an essential partner in that progress. We are searching for a dynamic Head of Finance to join the organisation and help lead this growth. The Head of Finance will report to the Chief Operating Officer and be a trusted adviser across the Foundation, including the wider leadership team and the Board's Audit Investment and Risk Committee, leading the finance function end to end, from financial planning, control and reporting to treasury and investment management, budgeting and forecasting and the annual statutory accounts. This is a hands-on leadership role in an organisation of circa 70 people, with significant partnership and philanthropic income and c.£20m of annual charitable spend. We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience: A full professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with current membership status and at least three years' post qualification experience in a busy finance function, including leading and managing others; Up to date knowledge of end-to-end financial controls and procedures, accounting and payroll systems, treasury and cashflow management, with excellent financial and numerical awareness, fully conversant with legislation applicable to charities or the public sector; Experience successfully completing year end processes, including preparation of annual accounts in line with the Charities SORP and managing the year end audit process; Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel and financial systems (ideally Sage); Excellent stakeholder engagement and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial issues clearly to colleagues with varying levels of financial confidence.
