Java Tech Lead [M/F]

The project involves designing and building a new Claims Reporting system for the insurance sector from scratch. The solution will be implemented based on a distributed microservices architecture, using modern architectural and integration patterns. The role involves responsibility for both designing and developing the system architecture, as well as supporting the development team during the implementation, deployment, and stabilization phases of the solution. An important element of the project will also be the use of the Agentic SDLC / agentic coding approach in the software production process.

Daily tasks

• Designing the architecture of the new Claims Reporting system and documenting the adopted architectural solutions.
• Designing and developing the system based on a distributed microservices architecture.
• Participating in feasibility analyses and defining implementation assumptions for system development.
• Determining the direction of system development and ensuring the application of technological and architectural standards.
• Making architectural decisions and assessing technological risks.
• Estimating the effort required for programming and architectural tasks and determining the resources necessary for task completion.
• Assigning development tasks and supervising implementation work.
• Conducting code review and ensuring the quality of the delivered code.
• Creating and updating technical and architectural documentation.
• Leading and participating in architectural workshops.
• Supporting and mentoring the development team.
• Ensuring compliance with requirements regarding security, performance, availability, and system operation.
• Co-creating technological roadmaps.
• Providing programming support during the development, deployment, and stabilization of solutions.
• Collaborating with technical and business teams regarding system development.

Requirements

5 years of experience in designing and supervising IT system architecture. Experience in the insurance domain. Very good knowledge of Java and Spring Framework. Experience in designing and building scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant distributed systems. Very good knowledge of architectural patterns and integration practices. Practical knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD). Experience in designing and implementing Event-Driven Architecture. Practical knowledge of API Governance. Experience working with cloud and infrastructure automation. Experience in the area of end-to-end observability. Experience in conducting code review, mentoring, and architectural workshops. Experience in co-creating technological roadmaps and risk assessment. Ability to estimate effort and plan architectural and development work. Ability to define and enforce technological standards. English language proficiency at a minimum B2 level.
