We are looking for a Recycled Steel Logistics Referent as part of the construction of the electric arc furnace.
Your main activities:
Your "logistics" scope covers all internal/upstream/downstream flows around the EAF and the Ladle Furnace. This specifically covers: The logistics and preparation of recycled steel, HBI/DRI, fluxes, and additions up to the consumption points; The treatment of EAF slags and the disposal of other co-products; The reception and management of consumables.
In connection with the project operating pilots (Business Integration teams): Participates in the development of operating procedures and instructions necessary for logistics. In particular, Safety and Quality Operating Procedures and the Document Unique, WCM Standards, quality FMEA, and the Product Process Control Plan. Contributes to the development and updating of supervision tools (HMI, control panel...) and management tools (monitoring, models...) necessary for logistics. Prepares and deploys the personnel training curriculum regarding logistics. In particular via a simulation and training platform. Participates in the preparation of contracts related to logistics and their operational management. In particular the two major service contracts of the EAF: recycled steel preparation and slag treatment.
In order to receive in-depth training on the new installations and processes: Participates in benchmarking missions in other EAF/LF, in particular centered on logistics around. Participates frequently in detailed design workshops (for example safety studies) and then ensures frequent field presence on the construction site.
During commissioning: Participates in cold commissioning activities. Then executes, with the rest of the process & production teams, all production/process activities under the supervision of the project team during hot commissioning.
Profile sought:
Proven experience (5 years or more) in logistics around an EAF. Management of significant service contracts (more than €10M/year). Desire to leverage this experience to contribute to creating and then starting a new production entity. Any significant experience in the startup of major industrial installations is a plus. Culture and methodologies of: Advanced operational Safety (Safe Coaching, Fatality Prevention Standards, Process Safety Management); Operational efficiency in maintenance (ProdMP).
Fluent practice of English.
