We are looking for the future Maintenance Manager as part of the construction of the electric furnace.

Main activities during the project phase:

Takes ownership of and contributes to defining the future organization of the Decarbonized Liquid Steel production entity, particularly its maintenance department which they will manage. In connection with the HR teams mobilized for the project (recruitment, training) Defines the needs in terms of mobilizing future maintenance teams and supports their hiring or transfer process. Defines and prepares their training and coaching plan, follows the deployment, and ensures the achievement of the required maturity (ARMP level 2) during startup.

In connection with the project operating pilots (Business Integration and ARMP maintenance teams), and with their teams Participates in the development of operating procedures and instructions necessary for the maintenance of future production lines. In particular the maintenance plan, the GMAO (ranges, measurement points, safety sheets) and processes such as "scheduled shutdowns" and "EAF vessel repair" Defines the list of spare parts necessary for maintenance, prepares their organization and management at the line level (Safety, Handling, Storage, budget...) and contributes to the development of the contracts necessary for their supply with EPO. Participates in the preparation of maintenance contracts and their operational management.

In order to receive in-depth training on the new installations and processes Organizes and participates in benchmarking missions in other EAF / LF, in particular centered on their safe maintenance, and develops a network with peers within ArcelorMittal. Frequently participates in detailed design workshops (for example safety studies) and then ensures frequent field presence on the construction site.

During commissioning Provides the project with trained maintenance personnel to carry out cold commissioning activities. Then executes with their teams all maintenance activities under the supervision of the project team during hot commissioning.

Gradually prepares and implements all maintenance processes (scheduled shutdowns, performance management...) and management processes (personnel, budget, contracts...) during the project phase so that all processes are in place at startup. In particular prepares the S2 process – Maintain and reliable equipment for the new production entity.

Profile sought:

Proven experience as an Operational Maintenance Manager (5 years or more) in an industrial environment. Two-level management of more than 50 people and a budget of more than €10M/year. Desire to leverage this experience to contribute to creating and then starting a new production entity. Any significant experience in EAF maintenance (or similar process) or the startup of major industrial installations is a plus. Culture and methodologies of: Advanced operational Safety (Safe Coaching, Fatality Prevention Standards, Process Safety Management) Operational efficiency in maintenance (ARMP) Building diverse, collaborative, and effective teams.

Fluent in English. Minimum commitment of 5 years in the position, to cover preparation, commissioning, and ramp-up. The skills acquired will allow for subsequent evolution within the group.
