About the Role

We are seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer with hands-on experience delivering water treatment plants for the semiconductor industry (e.g., ultra-pure water, wastewater, or process water systems). The successful candidate will be responsible for the electrical and instrumentation engineering, construction, and testing of these systems from design through commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Execute electrical and instrumentation engineering, construction, and testing activities for water treatment plants within semiconductor facilities to ensure system functionality and compliance
  • Read and interpret electrical and control circuit diagrams, P&ID diagrams, and single line drawings to guide installation and troubleshooting
  • Apply specifications and installation methods for MCC, PLC, VFD, Remote I/O, and Local Control Panels to achieve accurate system setup
  • Collaborate with the project execution team to support all water treatment plant-related works, ensuring alignment with project goals
  • Manage project scope efficiently by meeting schedules and maintaining quality standards throughout project phases
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise project implementation, testing, and commissioning activities to deliver operational systems
  • Prepare detailed Operation and Maintenance Manuals and As-Built Drawings to support system handover and future maintenance
  • Liaise effectively with client representatives, suppliers, and principals to resolve electrical and instrumentation issues and ensure smooth project delivery
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by immediate superiors or management to support project success

Required competencies and certifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related professional certification
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in electrical & instrumentation engineering, preferably with exposure to water/wastewater treatment plants in semiconductor or industrial environments
  • Hands-on experience with MCC, PLC, VFD, and Remote I/O panels — including specification, installation, testing, and commissioning.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Proactive problem-solving skills demonstrated in challenging or high-pressure situations
  • Strong analytical skills combined with interpersonal abilities to work independently and collaboratively within teams
  • Effective communication skills to liaise confidently with clients, suppliers, and principals
  • Willingness to travel to project or construction sites as required
